week 8 EOC producer

The producer plays a very important part in making films. The producer of the film controls and supervises the production. In the beginning the producer will get all the required help needed to start putting together the film. So they will need to be in contact with the director and the executive producer. Not only will the producer find the director but also will find the right cast and the right crew, as far as that goes is they find the right producer and have the right cast then they need to start looking at all the technical stuff that has to go with the production. Then they will have to get money so the movie can be produced. For this they will need a very good plan to get money for the film. Now that the money is in and the cast is ready. So the producer is basicly the CEO of a company and will be able to make all the laws of the production.

Screen Play cover

This is my screen play cover for a mafia short that I wrote. This short film is all about a young man coming up in the world of the mafia. So the story goes, the kid in the short has been working for the family for years now. Working as a goon a thug just a bad guy, but with all the time he has put into the family he feels that he will be ready to move up in the family. When the short starts we see two older gentlemen sitting in the back of a pizza shop talking. When we get to hear what they are talking about we learn that they are going to try and make the up in coming young man into the family they are talking about getting made. After the old men talk the one man goes into his car and calls the kid to tell him to get ready. When he arrives at the kids house and the kid comes out and gets into the car he seem very nervious about going on a ride. But when they get to the house and he is made he knows it is going to be really into the family

EOC Week 7 Optical Resume

I feel that when I first got onto optimal resume, it kinda looked crazy then I started to get to know the program and that started to help out a lot. I feel that one of the best things in the program is how they have the templets set up, for example how you can go to arts and entertainment and look around on there, till you find the templet that fits. They have it set up so that you can have all your films and all your work. So this program is way better for getting resumes.

Special Effects project

This project is called View. This project was done in The Art Institute of Las Vegas, for my motion graphics class. The View project is a commercial on finding places to eat, finding places to walk to and finding anything you need. Now I would like to talk about how I put this project together. Well it was done in after effects, the background video was given to us to use. The first step I took was getting the colors behind the actor, next I started to find different restaurants logos to use for when that part comes up. Next I found a picture of a globe and people talking on cell phones. I imported everything into the program and started working on my layers. For the globe spinning around it was easy to just put an effect on it and make it rotate. It was more difficult to make the logos go around like they did, because they had to match when the actor spun his hand the logos had to move. Once he the actor stops his hand and picks one of the logos it was very easy to just make that logo glow. Then more photos come up and the actor picks them with his finger and they also glow when he does this.

EOC week5

With the bankers card I went into the bank and asked the lady for a card and she was busy and was not able to take the time out to talk to me, so I just grabed a card from her. In regardes to the insurance, so I go in to allstate and ask for a card and then they ask me what it is for so I continue to explane to them about the project about how we have to go and get cards from a banker and insurance and the other ones. So they tell me about how if I need anything then I should come back to talk to them about anything I need. When I went to go into the lawyers office I was talking to the lady about what I am doing there and I told her what I was doing and she seemed very excited to learn about what we are doing in class. When it comes to the accountant I did not get anything from them. But out of all the people I saw the best one was the insurance company they seemed to be very interested to know what we are doing in the class.

EOC Excutive Summary

For my company I put a lot of thought into what my company is going to be. I thought about doing freelance work for people to hire us for work, but freelance is not as set in stone as other things. So with that in mind I feel that my company will be better off making commercial production, and other productions that have more then just weddings. As far as my business goes, the type of business it is has been around for a long time with doing productions and other events. But with the new style we put on things it is sure to boost us into the next relm of money needed to be made. So from the people that have been doing this for years are going to be behind I feel because, my company is going to be new and fresh we will be focused on new filming styles new camera angles, new editing styles. As far as my competitors go I feel that I will have a one up on them because I am new and have fresh ideas, I live in a world of fast paced edits and in your face camera shots. As far as my competitors go I like to think that most people out there are running in the past and are afried to jump into the now. As far as making money I feel that My company has a good chance at making some good money, how you ask well with doing production for other companys I feel my company will have an up on the other because we are new and fresh we have new Ideas and new editing styles. With my crew being so small I will not have to worrie that much about paying a lot of people I will just have to worrie about making enough money to keep the company up and running.

Percision video 702 789 4022 www.pvsrents.com I would have to say that this company would compete with my because, My company rents out equipment and does production shooting. But my company does more shooting then just ENG. Abe Forman Productions Abe production Is a production company that is located in Las Vegas and Las Angeles, The production crew has about seven members and they do not just produce in Vegas and Las Angeles they do production all over. Abe Production does work from showtime, BMW, Mac Donald’s to sports. With Abe Forman Production and my compant could work good because, they do not look like that big of a company. So it could be possible they would need to rent out video equipment, and with having all the new equipment they would come to my company to rent. Abe production 702 838 5333 Las Vegas, NV www.abeformanproductions.com Chesapeake Films Chesapeake films does Television and film company, that do work for all ages This company is heavily focused on TV and film, on the website it says they are trying to produce two features a year. It does not say how many people are in the crew or what kind of equipment they use. I feel that this company would work great with my company because, if they are doing shorts and features, That means they would need the equipment for longer then a few days and that would mean more money for my company. Five to Six Productions Five to Six works on doing production work, for example they do commercial production, Corporate video production. They also do side post work and some animation work. As well as websites and audio sweetening. Five to Six productions Las Vegas, NV 702 494 4187 www.fivesixproductions.com With this company I feel that they would work good with my company, I feel they are look for ne things all the time and with all of our new Equipment we carry. This picture was taken by Kayligh Bortalussi, Its was taken in a basement on a film shoot. In the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Film 2 class, we were assigned to make a short film on anything that we wanted. We had to write, produce, direct, storyboard, shoot, edit, audio and we also had to have an Electronic press kit. So I wrote the script, I found my actors, I got my location locked in. All of my actors lived in the town I was shooting so I did not have to worry about lodging so that helped on costs just a bit. I found my photographer at the school I was going to, so me and my crew set out for Ohio. When we arrive, we start shooting right away and everything is going just as planned. We finish up for the day, on the next morning we were going to shoot on a golf course, things happened at the course so we were delayed a few hours. We moved on in the script and started getting set up for some of the final scenes when we get the call from the golf course that we shoot now or never. We packed everything up and headed to the golf course, where we got all of my scenes shot, the next thing was to go to get more film for my photographer. On the last day we just did some pick up shots and then headed back to Pittsburgh were we the photographer developed the film. When I was going through all the photos I found this photo of me and my actor I am behind the camera and a bit out of focus, but the part that is in focus is what I have recording and to me this picture was just the one I had to choose.

Week 1 EOC: What sacrifices are you willing to make for you career

What am I willing to sacrifice for my career, I would be willing to sacrifice a lot. For example I have nothing holding me back in Las Vegas so if a career happen to pop up in Canada I would be willing to move. I have my passport so I could also travel over seas if need be.
I would be willing to start all the way at the bottom  and work so hard that I make it to the top. With meeting new people coming to work early, spending as much time at work as possible, so my co works that I love my job and I will done anything to keep it. I have made sacrifices before in my work for example, I was shooting a film and we drove out of town to shoot and we had hotels set up for all the cast and crew. When we get to the hotel they tell us that the rooms are no longer available, so with everybody freezing cold I had to make sacrfices to help these people find somewhere to sleep. I put the cast and crew in all of my family’s houses that were in the town we were shooting. The next day we start shooting our actress breaks her leg, so we had to make sacrifices to the  and drive six hours to get our back up actress and six hours back while we were doing this the rest of the team was shooting pick up shoots. We had one day to shoot all of the scenes with our new actress luckily she know all of her lines. With the sacrafices I made we were able to finish the film, the short film we made went on to win the AIP film showcase and thierd place and thedoorpost.com.
